Assault on Press
Assault on the journalists is always condemnable.Infact, attack on reporters become immensely counterproductive for the cause such attack is mounted. A party or people behave such a way when their interest is jeopardized by exposure by media or their cause is wrongly or biasedly presented. In the present case at Jungalmahal a particular section of press was perhaps attacked to prevent their efforts to prove that claim of a particular political party that they’ve no armed camps at Lalgarh is baseless. In fact, for the party concerned had no alternative other than desperately resist the reporters to proceed further as otherwise it might prove disastrous for them.

Press visual and print very much sympathetic to tmc and Maoists as well since they are anti-cpm,went to find the camps of armed cpm cadres- incidentally one from Tmes Now was there. That was to deflect the shameless falsehood perpetrated by the tmc MPs in New Delhi demonstating flaunting photo of armed camp of cpm, which turned out to be that of Maoists in Dantewara.That falsehood and canard requied to be masked by finding existance of armed camps by cpm. The tortured and long suffering people who lost their near and dear ones in the hands of the Maoists and their associates, are sheltered in camps in safer places.They are naturally reassured by the administration by the effective activities of the joint operation by central and state armed forces. They joined resistance to the murderers and are returning home after suffering long.The socalled neutral and respectable media print and visual never bothered to highlight the plifht of those sufferers. The automatic reaction any such move by those biased meida to find fault with them and proclaim the socalled truth would quite logically and naturally invite adverse result. They have nothing to lose but tjeir lives- which they by all their actions are trying to protect and establish their right to live as human beings.How could one expect that the people living under the constant threat and fear of being killed by the Maoists could behave like people meeting in a cafe in Calcutta Delhi and elsewhere.Though in general attack or attempted attack on press etc are deplorable and could no be supported, media with certain ulterior motives should be prepared to face the wrath of the people who are trying to live like citizen of our country shaking off the fear and trepidation meted at the hands of Maoists and their supports.These media have never highlighted the ordeals of those suffering humanity.Rather beamed in satisfaction that these supoters of cpm though they are poor and impoverished,are getting their dues at the hands of Maoists.
