Liberhan Report
Clamour over leakage of Liberhan Commission’s report has almost died down and now it’s contents have engaged people’s attention. Report’s claim that the demolition of Babri Masjid was not triggered by sudden mass frenzy and it was the outcome of premeditated and well planned move was any body’s guess. What’s shocking and surprising is alleged involvement of Atalbehari Bajpayee in the move. Though connected with Sangh Parivar, Bajpayee’s looked upon and revered as a person with liberal outlook and secular mindset. He’s acceptable even to those who don’t share the political ideology of BJP.In electoral fray,BJP too cashed in on his so called clean image and it paid them dividend . So inclusion of his name in the report is really unfortunate!Liberhan sprang another surprise in his report by exonerating the then Prime Minster P.V.Narasingh Rao, which seems unbelievable! Though time’s taken much of its sheen, still the Liberhan report deserves due attention.

Nothing's new what people donot know.It was a sustained campaign for month together across the country exhorting the followers to take up the socalled heavenly task of building a Ram temple at the site of the mosque.Thousands gathered at the are and did their assigned duty.Political leaders of the sangh affiliates expressed joy and satisfaction on the accomplishiment of that divine feat by demolishing a historical monument.PV Narsiha Rao PM at that time refused to listen to the saner voices of the veterans like Jyoti Basu and others at the National Integration Council and acted as an accomplice in that anti-national and fascist act.Bajpayee being a devoted and trusted member of the sangh parivar could under no circumstances act otherwise.Just for rendering better service to the ideology which all and sundry in that parivar,a hallow of secular garb was put on him.Moreover the report itself is a compromisee between the two parties patting each others back.They never bother for country ofr the people as awhole. neither they rise to the occasion when people suffer under backbreaking impact of unbearable price rise of essential commodities.The leak of the report was itself a well planned and premeditated step to diveert the attention of the suffering masses under the impact of the wrong policies of the gov at New Delhi.
